Welcome to Cambridge

Cambridge is a wonderful city to live in, visit and learn about.  There are so many things to see and do it would be impossible to list them all here, however, here are a few highlights in no particular order:

There are numerous guides online detailing what's on and where and would suggest that Visit Cambridge is a good starting point.

Since central Cambridge isn't that large getting around is very easy and if possible, walking is the best mode of transport.  For those brave enough,   Voi electric bikes and scooters can be hired from various locations or the Universal bus loops around the town from Girton Corner to the Biomedical Campus every 15 minutes all day. There are numerous stops along the way including  Fitzwilliam Museum (city centre), Botanic Gardens and the railway station.

For dining Cambridge is not short on choice, there's  fine dining to chain restaurant fayre and plenty inbetween.   This article in TimeOut is written by a local giving her opinion of various eateries for 2025.

A map of the city centre can be downloaded here and the University Map can be found  here
